For Foster Carers
Support for approved Hackney foster carers
Peer support, training, resources and advocacy - strengthening the team around every child, alongside Hackney Council.
What HFCC offers carers
HFCC is a carer-valued community organisation. We are not a fostering agency, regulator, or a replacement for Council social work. We work alongside Hackney Council to support the people who care for Hackney's children.
- Peer support - connection with other approved foster carers.
- Training - approved joint sessions with social workers and partners.
- Resources - signposting to approved HFCC, Hackney Council, GOV.UK and sector guidance.
- Advocacy - a collective voice for carers within the team around the child.
Who this page is for
Booking training
Foster carers book approved sessions through the live HFCC booking calendar. Social workers have a separate booking route. Both calendars are the authoritative booking system - use the one that matches your role.
Allowances & finances
Fostering allowances are set and paid by Hackney Council, not HFCC. We can signpost to current guidance but cannot quote figures or confirm payments. See Allowances & Finances.
